Metro PCS offers the same service on a cell phone .
Unlimited local and long distance + unlimited international + month to month service .
http://www.metropcs.com/plans/
The problem is with coverage , some people living in remote midwest areas might not get coverage .
Does anybody use the unlimited international plans . Can you please give some feedback ?

We should not let go of this.
Being a congressman he should not misuse his first amendment to utter false statements.
Dear congressman...i pity your lack of knowledge on H1B program and USCIS policies... We can help you understand better....Please do not make a fool out of your self.... I hope people do not look at you as a moron...and we wish you all the best in your political career.
Ha..Ha :D - That is funny. He indeed should be sent an e-mail saying just that.

Whether USCIS can find out or not depends on their IT systems.
I am 80% sure that you need to be present in US when you are applying for 485. Better safe than sorry. What you can do is - prepare all the documents and file it as soon as step in to this country.

I still would not put the blame on the lender. Nobody put a gun to your head and asked you to buy a home. You, out of your own volition, went to the lender after all the shopping you did for rates, then settled with one lender and signed the contract. Why is it the lender's fault for lending you money when you needed it? Why didnt you finanance the whole purchase yourself? You didn't have that kind of money, right? So what the lender did was charge you interest, as a fee for loaning you the money. So the builder/owner of the home got his money from the bank and left. Now the two parties involved are you and the lender. And it is your obligation to pay the loan whether the home appreciates or depriciates. Like Canadian_Dream already said, any investment has risk associated with it. You should have paid attention to it before signing the contract. Have you ever invested in a stocks or mutual funds? There is always a disclaimer that there is a certain amount of risk involved. The investment in real estate is just like that. It is not like putting away money in a savings account which is insured by FDIC.
If someone is dumb enough not to know these things he should not be investing in the first place!
Yup, that was my point - both are greedy :)....so no point blaming any 1 party. And agree with you that foreclosure is only an option if you 'really' can't pay your monthly dues and that too for a sustained period of time - if one has the money to pay the monthly mortgage, one should continue to pay it off even if the asset value as plummeted to rock bottom because that is what you have singed in for - the amount of loan you took out to buy that house. No excuse from that!
Foreclosing just because you can't make short term profit on it is simply in-excusable.

If rumors are true there is no point in sending I485 application if State dept announces that Visa is not available on July 2nd Morning. If confusion or rumor is cleared then Lawyers can send the application. That stand may be correct. But what if State Dept announces on Wednesday. Then those who are filed on Monday and Tuesday will get EAD and AP. I hope these rumors will not become true
You can sue this firm, if they have really suspended the work on I-485.
How can they react to rumours?

This is plain stupidity. These employers should first take a good look at an EAD and a GC. As for as work authorization is concerned, both these cards provide us with the same rights. The EAD says The person identified is authorized to work in the US for the validity of this card where as the GC says The person identified by the card is authorized to work and remain in the US.
So why does the legal department come into picture here? Is it because of the expiry date associated with EADs? If thats the case even a GC has got an expiration date (a later date maybe). Does that mean that an additional budget is required to hire GC holders?
I was thinking exactly like you until she educated me on this yesterday.
The problem with the EAD is you are invoking AC21. There are several possible problems here including
1. Complying with AC21 requirements of job code, 180 days after 485 RD, etc.
2. Invoking AC21 without 140 approval. This is not against the law, but is risky in case of a 140 RFE.
There are more reasons, but these ought to provide enough clarity on the problem. It is in the employer's interest to ensure that the candidate does not have any such issues; issues which will lead to termination of employment. The Recruiter cannot check DOL job codes and USCIS documents. That is the job of Legal which means $$$.
So if the hiring manager does not have a budget for these extra costs or if he has an equally good candidate who is a GC holder or a citizen, it is easier to go with him or her.

I concur... I'm not flying BA ever again, my family members have had bad experiences with these folks. My $ is now reserved for more deserving airlines, even if the tickets are a couple of hundred bucks more expensive elsewhere. We can't just let them get away with behaving like Jade Goody all the time.

So when children reach 14 years of age they have to do fingerprinting?
That is true. USCIS will send you finger print notice when kids turn 14. They will print all the fingers (code3, I guess) at this time.

Hi,
My company's attorney filed for my PERM and I-140. After I-140 approval the attorney kept the original I-140 and sent me the courtesy copy of the approval. I am now going to file for my I-485 on my own.
My question is -
Can I make a photocopy of the courtesy copy of this I-140 approval and use it to file my I-485?
P.S: Courtesy copy is NOT the photocopy of the original I-140. It is a copy that USCIS sends in addition to the orinial approval.
I am in the same situation, and I plan to include photocopy of my courtesy copy of my I-140 with other docs, as I am filing AOS by myself. If anyone else had the same issue, please share your exp.

Hi All,
I got the I-485 approval/welcome notice from USCIS for myself and my spouse today. But the wierd thing is that my NSC online status still shows RFE response received and case pending (from 2008)...the welcome notice says I should expect to receive the card in 3 weeks...guess I am greened.
Anyone else face a similar situation?
Thanks.
