Krish I believe that Feb - Apr 2007 is very realistic now although we don't have all the details of the news yet. 12K numbers if applied in May will lead to 4-5 months of movement not just a wekl. I do echo VDLRAO's wish there is a good chance that we maybe near the Jul-Aug 2007 line however we should wait for the May bulletin to assess that.
I too believe it will be either 2006 Dec/ 2007 Jan for May VB.

I am thinking that we should do something like have IV attorneys look into this PIMS delas and we should may be do another letter campain? (strictly speaking, I know this cannot become an agenda item for IV).
If this trend with PIMS continues (which is what it looks like), sooner or later it may affect a lot of people on H1b month after month who are going for visa stamping. With priority dates retrogressed badly this will become another pain point.
Who in IV do we have to run this by?

My Dear Punjabi Bretheren,
Let me help you understand why I think your question reeks not only of idiocracy, but also utter disregard for even basic moral and common sense.
You wanted to buy a home, live in it for 2 years, sell it and make money. Nothing wrong with it. But, now that the market if not favorable to you, think you are not responsible for payment, and want to foreclose. All I'm saying is you are responsible for your actions; the act of buying a house, making sure you take care of it (read the contract where it says you are to take care and maintain the house to a reasonable standard), paying your monthly mortgage, insuring your home, and paying back the loan with interest by the end of the loan term. You signed the contract. You were ready to reap profits by the sale if there was equity on the home. Likewise you are to assume responsibility of payment if the home value depreciates. This is common sense. This is how the world has been. This is what they teach you as a kid. Why in the world are you complaining about depreciation when you knew this is a possibility when you bought the house?????????????????
Foreclosing is not illegal. But in your case it is unethical. I'm not even sure if your lender will let you foreclose when you don't have a real financial burden to make regular payments. You are losing 20Gs only. I assume you are capable of paying your monthly payments. You want to relocate to get a better paying job. I do not think the lender will let you of the hook so easily. And why should they? They shouldn't. They should make you pay every single penny that you owe to them!
And your questions about returning items to the store; you prove again that your a dishonest man! No, you cannot return a used item. It is wrong. Nothing legal about it. Who told you it is legal??? Now you may go back to the store and pretend like you didn't use it, or that the item is defective, and pass it off, but that's YOU!!!! In your own little dishonest mind everything that is in normal circumstances considered wrong is perfectly fine! You and your buddies here like "kumar1", "leo2606", think that it is fine to return used merchandise. You are all a bunch of dishonest people who didn't learn about right and wrong while growing up. Good. Initial Review can jump to CPO as it is literally a matter of 15mins for the Adjudication Officer to approve the case!
Up until last year till the pre-adjudication was restarted, almost all cases were first look to approval.

OK, DOS buffer issue.
A. LAW. If there is no inventory in EB2 I/C (meaning demand). Theoretically DOS should make EB2 I/C CURRENT. DOS/CIS are not that dumb, or at least as dumb as before. I would say, they are very competent now and we should appreciate their work, pre-adjudicate, publish demand data (DOS), inventory data (CIS) processing time (DOS). THEY know, from PERM, I-140, there are at least 2K demand permonth from EB2 I/C. SO they will just safely move a couple of month of PD to make sure there is demand >2800 for India/China, so they don't have to make it CURRENT (per law)
B. LOGISTICS. There could be denials, RFEs, although most (I believe almost all 100% pre-07/2007 EB2 I/C) should be pre-adjudicated now (THANK DOS CIS specifically did this so no processing time, and no waster numbers hopefully). That is why DOS has to consider that in their demand, and CIS has to consider that in inventory numbers
C TIMING. Charles is shooting a moving target as well (his job is not easy as he cannot predicate future 100% and has to follow law, and use all visa numbers, we should appreciate that). Charles has no control on CIS number accuracy (I am sure CIS is trying hard as well), how fast EB1/EB2ROW/EB2I-c pre-072007 could come in, hey even some CIS employees need vacation in summer. So he has to make sure things can be done before August, so August could be only a month for fine tuning, not massive approvals, new applications (CIS wont look at them any way but takes man power), to use up all numbers and have some new applicants to keep the inventory (demand) at decent level.
I am July 2007 PD, and we all have hopes, dreams, life, etc, can can distort our judgement. We can discuss, but may to suppoert each other, and those warriors in DC. But hey, things could happen against our best intentions, wishes, anything can happen. SO life it short, live once, enjoy the ride, love people, appreciate love, and HAVE a great weekend, have fun.

I was able to contact NSC using POJ today. Got same response- File is with IO for review.
I could reach IO yesterday. representative said that me and my wife's cases are preadjudicated. Not sure if I could believe this...

I am not sure what is happening. When I went to USCIS during Infopass, the officer at the time told me that my case will be looked upon when the notice date comes up.
MY priority date is april25 2006 and the notice date was 09/18/2007. I didn't believe him. Even I raised the question in one of the forums and other guys shot me down saying the notice date is not important. But now I got an LUD on 09/19/2007 and that was the reason why I raised this question to you as well as HIINVIN66. I am assuming that the applications are looked upon based on the notice dates. If they under EB2, pre adjudcated and visa numbers availaible, MAY BE MAYBE we get green cards. IF not, We have to keep our fingers crossed. Let see what happens.....

This is just a message to 2005/2006/2007 PD guys. Please don't think that some miracle will happen and dates will be current soon, it will take its own time. Mostly for EB2 & EB3June 2006- June 2007 guys, it will be like a lottery if the PD becomes current somewhere in 2007 Oct-Nov time. Right??
So life is not always easy. There are people waiting since 2002-03-04.

As my parents,in laws and most of my relatives stay there. Not only mine, allmost all guys who are in the IV, they must have parents and relatives in India for sure. There is no other reason why I said India is great.
Someone asked me to pack up... YES, I will if nothing happens;however, I will be waiting to see the progress for sure. This is July. Let's have a look over OCT bulletin after 2 months and for sure dates will move atleast 4-6 months for EB2 guys and 1 year for EB3 guys. So wait, be patient, instead of doing all this.
Anyway, our turn will come sooner or later, so why to become impatient just seeing the JULY bulletin CURRENT and then "U".
Mainly this is the message for 2005-2006-2007 PD guys. Please don't take it otherwise.

Jan 18: received a call from the consulate, said the petition number on the application is incorrect, and I need to resubmit the approval notice with fresh DS 156/157 at the Bangalore VFS drop box.
Has anyone else been through the same situation?
I checked a copy of the original DS-156/157, and there was no place to enter receipt number. The only place I could see was where the VFS pre-screening guys enter this number manually (first page DS 156 top right corner).
If this is due to their mistake, I will be very angry and will convey this to the consulate general.

It is received date stamp, what they do after receiving. They do it immediately on the same day.
(area code 202) 663-1541 still reading June Visa bulletin. Did they revert back?
If its mailed out today, then you are ok. Its the POSTMARKED date that is seen. So even if it reaches there in July, as long as it went OUT today, they will have to accept it under June's batch of applications coz it is postmarked in June (june 29).
