There are two issues that I have posted on this thread.
1. Interpretation/understanding a post.
2. RED DOT issue ( this is not my priority) . If you read the post keenly.
You, .. your self have made a mistake in Interpretating / understanding the post and reacted overly on the second issue by cornering the actual post.
Do you call this as a Interpretation issue?. Did you get what am I saying. First , read and understand what others meant to be. Don't JUMP on it.
If IV cannot fix this RED DOT issue, how could some one believe in IV would fight for FIXING broken immigration system?.
Perspective is not always matters, there are times .... some thing else matter too. Which is called "Self Respect"
When few people are spending time and knowledge on sharing their thoughts/ideas, how good it would to use F***words against them?.
There are many BAD words ... that some members have used against of my friends. Who no more wanted to participate in IV?.

As soon as you use EAD, you loose H1B status---------- so answer is NO

Any idea what Onet code the above description falls under?

Oh No ! Thats too bad. I was really hoping that it was possible to use the old H1B. And can be used anytime to change the status.
I am hoping someone wud come up and say Yes its possible.....

I am in exact same situation. The company that is going to sponsor my H1 checked with two attorneys and both said that I will need a fresh H1 in April07 and I can start working from Oct07. Even I never got to work on my earlier H1. I guess this is because you need previous paystubs for H1 transfer. Let me know if you hear otherwise from your attorneys.
I am hoping someone wud come up and say Yes its possible.....

It was EB2. The vast majority of the CA's we show equivalent to a US bachelor's degree. However in this case since it is officially recognized as a PGD a professor felt it was equivalent to a US masters and USCIS agreed. As a rule I would say CA=BA + 5 years work exp is a better way to go for EB2.

Same here, fraud bodyshop consultants make life miserable for genuine applicants and also give a bad name to the H1B process. It's more like an easy ticket to come to the US as opposed to being qualified for a job. I wonder what people think , that life gets better once you start with fraud??

I am working in tech field doing techie stuff (like System.out.println ;)) I did PMP in Jan 2008.. so far i didnt get a chance to use my PM skills (thanks to USCIS for not giving me GC yet and limiting my ability to look for better job)
I havent done MBA so I did learn few (project) management lessons while preparing for PMP.. although I wouldnt say that real world project management generally follows what is published by PMI
For studying PMP, I would highly recommend reading PMP Prep book by Rita Mulcahy.. I never read PMBOK... Also, give few mock up exams (there are plenty available on net)...
I am preparing for CFA level 1.. and man PMP was much easier! (just comparing one certification to the other - one with 5 books to read and other with only 1 book!)

Found out from the Senator's office that my case has been approved. Attorney was able to call and confirm. No change in online status though.

no, its called covering our behind, if in future something comes back to bite ;),
As long as your orig employer does not complain(which i hardly doubt anyone will do) you are fine, worst case scenario if someone does, then its not a big hurdle to cross with an able attorney's help.
Just to put your mind at ease, i have several friends(not friend-of-a-friend) who had quit at various intervals (1-2-3 months) after getting their GC's and haven't faced a single issue while in process of becoming a citizen.
In short its better to be safe than sorry so these attorneys suggest staying for atleast 180 days.
If that is the case, then why is it that all immigration attorneys are asking us to stay with our current employers citing this "Intent" thing? Are you saying that it's all smoke and no fire?
