Not a people manager AFAIK. I think it is a group lead position but no poeple manager responsibility.

(ii) Plus as a matter of practical reality -- do you imagine the moving like slow molasses USCIS/DOS/DOL are more persuadable than fire and brimstone congresspeople? :)
We can certainly toss this out at our next set of meetings, and see if our fate is better served at the hands of USCIS bureaucrats than Congress.

This guy with absolutely clean record was held for 11 weeks for verification and lost his father in this process..
I have been trying for last 8 weeks non-stop in front of computer and I am not able to even see any open appointment...
WE REALLY NEED TO RAISE HELL ON THIS...
SENDING LETTERS TO CLINTON or may be IV rep team to meet her on this issue...

In my case I got a hard LUD followed by a soft LUD on 9/24/2008 and the message was the same. I was very confused if my case was transferred to NBC as I was going out of the country and did not want to miss the interview if anything came up.
After numerous attempts like calling NSC, making an inquiry through the congress rep and taking an Infopass appointment I was still not sure what was going on. Had already been through the NSC->CSC->NSC xfer and this new transfer again, god knows where!!
This thread kind of calmed me a bit as it clearly showed that I am not the only person who is seeing this message.
So, in effect this thread definitely helped me and am sure helped some other folks as well.
This is a discussion board and I don't think you can classify anything as being dumb or foolish. If you are a master at knowing rules and interpreting them better than others GOOD FOR YOU!

They worked enough for this year and they have lot to do. According to my guess they have the following pending work.
1. Issue Receipts (Sep/October)
2. Issue EAD cards for approx 300,000 applicants? (October/November/December)
3. Issues AP for 300,000 (October/November/December)
On top of this they need to celebrate thanksgiving and christmas like every citizen. So don't expect too much from them for this year.
If at all there is some momement in EB numbers, that will happen only between Jan-March(before H1-B madness starts).

I changed it to clarify. The answer is YES, we have had 100% approvals for CA=MA, but we have done relatively few. This is based on Indian documentation that CA=PGD. However the stronger evidence points to CA=BA. As you can see someone on this board got an approval for our evaluation for a CA=MA with a professor's expert letter. The professor's letters are not cheap but effective.
In India, only UGC (University Grant Commission) is qualified to issue equivalency letters. Professor letter can be supplemental, but it can not be authentic certification, as UGC is only one to issue that.

I've sent in slightly modified letters(personalised) from myself and separately from my wife to both the Whitehouse and to IV.
I found the best way to modify the well written template is to just put a small personal introduction at the top. Who you are, what you do and perhaps that you are waiting patiently for X years.
If you have renewed your EAD multiple times, it might be worth mentioning that as well.

Have they mentioned it on their website? Usually DMVs like CT etc.. mention on website that they need a Employment verification letter, as a matter of fact, they don't even accept paystubs they just want employment verification letter.
Folks - my advice is : Please do not argue with the department. Ask them to post their new requirement on their website so that you don't go there and get disappointed.

Did you recieve the RFE yet ?What was it about. Mine is a similar case. We both have LUDs on 02/10 and my wife's 485 recieved an RFE email today.
Not yet. Did not hear from my attorney either. My 485 got another LUD today. Did any of the folks receive the actual RFE? Please post details once you get it, and I will do the same.

My situation,
I am a july 2 filer, planning to use EAD to work in diifferent company in same profession(NOT invoking AC21). On I-485 approval want to come back to the original employer who filed I-485. my company is supporting and willing to support for any RFEs.
Please tell me if it is going to work and what are the risks involved.

would it even help people who did MS in stem from US university but are stuck in eb3 due to bad policies of their companies ?Or is this only for eb2 / eb1?

My attorney, who I deal with directly (he is part of big immigration law firm), had sent my some papers ages ago that the firm represents both myself and my employer.
Could be that there are bar association rules for this, or maybe just this firm's policy. If it is wider than this firm, then you might be able to refer the attorney to the bar association. It would I guess depend on how much he knew, and whether he knew that you were under the impression that he would be applying for I485.
You probably have a civil or criminal fraud case against employer, and if the attorney knew that you believed that employer was applying for I485 and in anyway facilitated this, even by willfully not returning a call until it was too late, he might be guilty/liable due to conspiracy. Conspiracy without a paper trail or witness is hard to prove. However it depends who has to pursue it. In any case would the attorney want a formal complaint against him on the record with the bar association.
Find out if same employer & attorney did same to anyone else.
If you pursue by yourself it will likely be costly. If you represent yourself less so, but hard work (google for "Pro Se" -- Latin for For Self, "Pro Bono" -- Latin for For the Good).
If DoL or consumer affairs, bar association, or district attorney pursue, much less effort and cost, but less control for you.
